The Mandela Project
There is no passion to be found playing small – in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living. The Mandela Project…What Do You Believe In? was Tangle’s new Discovery Project, touring South West England in autumn - winter 2014.
The project invited people of all ages to take part in drama, spoken word, music and writing workshops led by our practitioners from Tangle Company, during which they created responses to Nelson Mandela’s vision for change, showcased in design and as an interactive website and e-book which is being shared across the region and beyond.
The Mandela Project built on Tangle’s great progress to enable people living in some of South West England’s most rurally remote communities to creatively celebrate the rich multi-racial culture of the UK.Simon Morris, Engagement Manager at Salisbury Arts Centre, said‘Salisbury Arts Centre is looking forward to Tangle's return to Wiltshire with The Mandela Project. Through the project, we will be able to give young people in the Old Sarum community, just outside Salisbury, a rare opportunity to take part in an inspiring creative event.’

We also published The Mandela Project Discovery Pack which is designed to educate as well as aid groups in creating their own vision statements. You can also download The Mandela Project Case Study which summarises the need, content and reach of the project.
