NAViGATiON: GLOBAL
NAVIGATION: GLOBAL was a multi-platform arts project that drew on cultural and creative influences from around the Atlantic Circle (predominately America, the Caribbean and Africa), encouraging people across South West England to explore and find out more about languages, cultures and interests in undiscovered corners of the world.

The project incorporated creative workshops led by a talented team of practitioners from our resident ensemble Tangle Company. Participants took part in a range of activities including drama, spoken word, music and writing.
Following an extensive workshop tour, Tangle Company toured 'Steering Through Stars', a new song and spoken word piece with words by Paula B Stanic and music by Allyson Devenish.
To extend the experience beyond the workshop and performance activities, we also delivered a range of online and printable resources for use in groups and individually. Someone Else's Hand, incorporated the thoughts and reflections from the over 1000 people who participated and contributed in each of our workshops.
Participants' work was also published on our NAVIGATION: GLOBAL INTERACTIVE WEBSITE.
During the project, participants found out about new languages, cultures and ideas, opening up new ways of thinking around the different lives of similar people from around the Atlantic Circle. Participants then wrote their own statements about what someone else, or what someone else’s hand, might be doing on the same day, and at the same time, as they wrote their own thoughts down.
The ebook and interactive website celebrates their diversity of achievement.
