An ingenious new adaptation of Ben Jonson’s playtext by Tangle’s Artistic Director Anna Coombs
Volpone in its original text has never before been performed by a wholly African and Caribbean cast. Neither has it been accompanied by an originally composed score of Zimbabwean jazz fusion music or, as far as we know, performed by an ensemble of just three.
We are thrilled to share with you our Artistic Director Anna Coombs’ ingenious reworking of the show’s playtext, complete with an introduction about the adaptation and some of the production's striking images.
